well, with the lovely ladies in tow of course… Easter Monday, a day where practically the whole population of Northern Ireland descends on the north Antrim coast. Normally an easter trip to the north coast is a sunny warm day with ice cream and visits to the beach, but because easter is so ridiculously early (why can it just be set to the first weekend in April for goodness sake, who cares about the flipping moon), it was neither warm nor filled with beach trips for us.William and Anna, and Me and Lorraine headed to Portstewart first, where we met up with Joanne and John for coffee and cake, we sat in the shop long after we had finished because we didn’t wanna go back out into the cold, but after a while it got really busy and we decided to head on.

Rather than try and battle through the crowds of tacky tacky Portrush we hopped back into the car and went off for a wee coastal drive which ended up at Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. We headed over the bridge and back again, during which i nearly lost my hat at least 3 times, oh and nearly blew off the bridge… As we were heading back to the car we could see the storm blowing in over the sea and over Rathlin Island, and boy were we glad to be back in the car, I don’t think my fingers could have stuck much more cold. A quick glance at the temperature gauge in William’s car told me it was 0.0 degrees C at 5pm, way too cold, and it was snowing sideways a little, so we headed to get warmed up with some food from Flash in the Pan, apparently the best chippy in Northern Ireland…. mmm battered sausage supper….

all in all it was a good day out…

Flash in the Pan? I sat in their car park once and squirted water at the spides in their pimped out Corsa’s. Good times.
